is designed to conserve our natural resources by addressing today’s environmental issues, Recycling, Reusing and Reducing the volumes of waste dumped into our local landfills.
The Recycle Anaheim program was designed with you in mind, and requires very little extra effort.
- Organized - The program uses three 110 gallon containers: a black container for trash, a green container for recyclable items, and a brown container for yard waste. These specially designed containers, provided by Anaheim Disposal, are lightweight with built-in wheels for easy movement.
- Efficient – The automated refuse collection system uses modern, robotic trucks to empty its containers.
- Convenient - For your added convenience, all containers are collected on the same day each week.
- Clean - Keep in mind, any waste placed outside of the containers provided by Anaheim Disposal, or placed in non-automated trash cans, cannot be collected with our automated truck service.

Placement
Place your containers in the street at curbside, near the edge of your driveway. Place the container's handles toward your home, and at least three feet away from any obstruction (car, fence, lamp, or mailbox, etc.). Allow a minimum distance of one foot between ALL automated containers. All containers must be at curbside by 7 a.m. or earlier on your collection day. Prior to removing your container from the curbside, please check to see if it has been emptied, as each container is emptied at a different time.
The diagram below shows the proper placement of your containers on your collection day.

Removal
By being a good neighbor and remembering to remove your trash, recycle and yard waste containers on collection day, you will be helping to keep your neighborhood neat and clean. Anaheim Municipal Code states that waste and recycling containers shall not be on the street or in view from the public for more than 24 hours.
